| The Touriseum, a tourist museum in South Tyrol, is located in the heart of a large botanical garden. It especially worth visiting from March through November. In the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, plants from all over the world are gathered together and typical landscapes of South Tyrol are presented, from rhododendrons in the spring to roses and lavender in the summer, followed by "Leuchtfeuer" in the Japanese garden in the fall. | Tyrol Castle - South Tyrolean Museum of History | ||
| This castle was the ancestral seat of the Counts of Tyrol and counts among one of the many impressive castles in South Tyrol. The castle consists of 2 palaces with a palace chapel. Inside, visitors have a wonderful glimpse at the medieval ages in South Tyrol. Nearby, you will find a centre for bird fauna in the Tyrol village. | Juval Castle (Reinhold Messner) | ||
| The 700-year old castle is situated high over the Schnal valley. Since 1983, it has been property of the South Tyrolean Reinhold Messner, an extreme mountain climber. He opened the castle to the public in 1995. You can visit Juval Castle and its many rooms by foot or by shuttle bus (from the Juval parking lot). In the summer months, the castle is closed because the proprietor Reinhold Messner spends this time in Vinschgau. | ![]() | |
